Step into the next generation of portable datacollection with the Dolphin 7400 mobile computer.The 7400 adds a Microsoft Windows CE operatingsystem to a modular hand held computerplatform that features three choices of keypads, alarge VGA display, a high performance Intel StrongARM 206MHz RISC processor and, up to320 MB of memory and optional touch screencapability.

The Dolphin 7400 provides ample, secure storagefor data and applications with its 32 MB RAM and32 MB FLASH memory configuration. Up to 256 MBadditional memory for data storage is available withan optional integrated compact flash card. Theterminal can easily be programmed with Microsoft eMbedded Visual Tools (contains CE versions ofVisual C++ and Visual Basic ) or Java . Dolphin7400 supports Insignia Solutions Jeode JavaVirtual Machine to run Java-based applications onthe terminal. Windows CE also runs SQL ServerCE, the powerful yet compact relational databasethat extends enterprise data management.

Weighing 22.5 oz. (638 gm), the Dolphin 7400 has arugged design that takes multiple 5-foot (1.5m)drops to concrete and provides a single-handed usedesign. The terminal s sealed case resists water anddust. The Dolphin 7400 also provides a secure,ergonomic hand-shaped grip with an integratedelastic hand strap. The 7400 meets varying needs inchallenging environments of transportation, logistics,warehousing, delivery and route sales.

Available with a choice of three integrated imageroptions, the Dolphin 7400 reads 1D and 2D symbologies(PDF417, MaxiCode, QR Code and DataMatrix) and lets you record GIF and JPEG imagesof shipping manifests, recipient signatures, anddamaged cartons. An optional ALR laser scanner isalso available for extended range scanning applicationsprevelant in Warehousing and DistributionCenters.

The 7400 computer uses IQ Imaging , a suite offeatures unique to matrix imaging technology thatincludes enhanced signature capture, improvedpicture taking and superior data capture.
