The ScanPlus 1800 range of hand-held bar code scanners uses the latest patented technology and integrated design for fast and accurate contact and non-contact scanning. The S1800 incorporates innovative solutions for: - Different depths of field
- Easy connectivity
- Changing setup requirements
- Selecting linear (1D) and stacked (2D) bar codes, including PDF417
S1800 scanners can be ordered with one of two scan engines: - SR (CCD linear image) scan engine for close reading applications (0 to 10cm/4 )
- ST (Laser) scan engine for applications requiring a longer depth of field (to 50 cm/20 )
The SR engine features new patentedtechnology that provides a sharp, brightlyilluminated scan line for accuratepositioning of the scanner. The fast scanrate of up to 400 scans per secondensures intuitive, instant reading. The ST engine provides an excellentdepth of field for applications wheredistance reading is important. Both options offer simple and reliablescanning in a unique, highly ergonomicshape. A universal interface system allows eachof the S1800 model variants to beconnected to many hundreds of PC s, cashregisters or other terminals simply bychanging the cable and software set-up. Easy and powerful, the ScanPlus S1800 isa major advance in hand-held scanning.
