What is Lifecycle Management?

[1] Product lifecycle management (PLM) refers to the handling of a good as it moves through the typical stages of its product life: development and introduction, growth, maturity/stability, and decline. Context note: While this definition more loosely describes general products, the term most certainly applies to technology products, as well.

TDX Tech note: For the purposes of this definition, lifecycle management includes technology-related products and services, including project planning and management, hardware procurement, IT staging and integration services, technology deployment, technician deployment, onsite field services, IMAC (install, move, add, change) services, maintenance and repair programs, and asset recycling and disposition services.
