The primary duties and responsibilities of the Receiving Associate involve functions such as receiving inbound purchases, processing in-bound customer returns and repair requests in a warehouse setting. This is a vital position that requires great attention to detail, strong data entry skills and an emphasis on accuracy throughout the receiving process.

We are looking for a detailed oriented person with a broad range of warehouse experiences, a strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate effectively.  The ideal candidate will have warehouse receiving experience and possess the ability to learn and comprehend quickly.  It is anticipated that this position will involve working with a wide range of clients, partners, and technologies.

The Receiving Associate will be responsible for properly receiving all customer technology equipment in the warehouse.  This position will receive and accurately in-audit inventory consisting of, but not limited to, POS systems, receipt printers, scanners, monitors, networking equipment, and displays.  In addition, continue to further establish internal customer relationships by working directly with internal sales, project team, tech center, and warehouse teams.

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion for receiving.
  • Unload inbound parcel and freight shipments from carrier vehicles.
  • Conduct piece count and inspection for damages prior to signing receipt of deliveries. Communicate with carrier any damages identified.
  • Responsible for following a detail process for checking in (auditing) of inbound shipments.
    • Confirm shipment contents quantity and quality match corresponding packing slip and purchase order of internal system.  Record and escalate discrepancies internally and to vendors as necessary.
    • Record serial number information into the internal system.
    • Ensure located equipment is tagged/labeled (as necessary).
    • Retain all carrier paperwork and take appropriate follow up action (save packing slips to purchase order).
  • Review equipment order instructions to determine appropriate action (located for stock/sale, RMA returns, equipment in for repair, equipment to be recycled, etc…) of equipment received and locate equipment in appropriate location for next step.
  • Locate equipment (if necessary) in warehouse and complete location notes in internal system.
  • Suggests changes/upgrade to receiving processes.
  • Monitoring and auditing the accuracy of receiving process and internal systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring optimal use of warehouse space and efficiencies of time and space.
  • Responsible for keeping warehouse work area clean.
  • Self-motivate and work independently on day-to-day warehouse activities.
  • Collaborate with team members on warehouse requirements across projects.
  • Work with external and internal customers to design, develop and enhance warehouse service solutions and procedures.
  • Work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Adapt to new technology solutions utilized to perform warehouse operations.
  • Design and integrate new warehouse solutions into the current environment.
  • Interact professionally with fellow employees, clients, and vendors.
  • Performs other warehouse-related functions as assigned.  Additional secondary warehouse tasks may include, but not limited to:
    • Pulling and kitting of equipment for outbound shipments.
    • Complete re-locating of equipment within warehouse and in internal systems.
    • Understanding and knowledge of the shipping process; capable of completing shipping activities as needed.
    • Assist with outbound palletized and box shipments.

  • Familiarity with warehouse systems and concepts.

  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.

  • Efficient with Microsoft Office applications.


  • Two years receiving experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn unfamiliar technology, and to stay informed of new technologies.
  • Experience working with IT Equipment/technology.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of operating procedures and systems and ability to ensure procedures and systems are being followed.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
