SUMMARY

This role will receive, ship, and track IT equipment inventory in a warehouse setting. The receiving duties and responsibilities of the Shipping & Receiving Associate involve functions such as receiving and processing inbound purchases, returns, and repairs. The shipping duties and responsibilities of the Shipping & Receiving Associate involve functions such as processing outbound orders as shipping via FedEx and UPS. Equipment includes, but not limited to, iPads, PCs, laptops, POS units, receipt printers, scanners, monitors, switches, access points, routers, cameras, and other equipment. This is a vital position that requires great attention to detail, strong data entry skills and an emphasis on accuracy throughout the receiving, shipping, and inventory processes.

The person recruited to this position will play a vital and significant role in handling and routing of incoming and outgoing IT Equipment. We are looking for a detailed oriented person with a broad range of shipping, receiving, and warehouse experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in each of these areas and possess the ability to learn and comprehend quickly,

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of shipping equipment. Prepare packing slips and freight documents for required shipments, including international shipments.
  • Participate in daily cargo/equipment loading and unloading.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of receiving equipment.
  • Unload inbound parcel and freight shipments from carrier vehicles.
  • Conduct piece count and inspection for damages prior to signing receipt of deliveries.

Communicate with carrier any damages identified.

  • Responsible for following a detailed process for checking in equipment for inbound shipments into TDX Tech internal systems.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of receiving process and impact on internal systems.  Responsible for ensuring optimal use of warehouse space and efficiency of time and space.
  • Complete the action of routing the received equipment to appropriate internal location/team using work devices, such as hand truck, forklift, or sorting bins.
  • Maintain all required internal inventory systems. Efficiently record and enter information into a computer.
  • Responsible for keeping warehouse work area clean.
  • Self-motivate and work independently on day-to-day warehouse activities.
  • Collaborate with team members on warehouse requirements across projects.
  • Work with external and internal customers to design, develop and enhance warehouse service solutions and procedures. Work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Adapt to new technology solutions utilized to perform warehouse operations.
  • Design and integrate new warehouse solutions into the current environment.
  • Interact professionally with fellow employees, clients, and vendors.
  • Performs other warehouse-related functions as assigned.
  • Additional secondary warehouse tasks may include, but not limited to:
    • Pulling and kitting of equipment for outbound shipments.
    • Complete re-locating of equipment within warehouse and in internal systems. o Assist with outbound palletized and box shipments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional PC skills and embrace technology.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Exceptional service orientation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with warehouse, accounting and shipping software systems.
  • Requires analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences. High level of detail orientation necessary to document, train, and support executed technical phases of customer projects. Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
  • Must be comfortable with fast-paced, entrepreneurial corporate culture and the standards and work ethic consistent with that environment.
  • Ability to create and sustain a positive environment for customers and team members. Efficient with Microsoft Office applications.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Two years shipping/receiving experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager software.
  • Experience with international shipping.
  • Experience with use of fork lift, pallet jack, hand scanner.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with IT equipment.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar technology quickly and adapt.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of standard procedures and systems and willingness to meet daily requirements.
  • Ability to take direction and adjust to shifting/evolving priorities.
