Due to new government regulations, our customer was required to upgrade software and hardware to comply. Not only that, the compliance service work had to be completed at 20,000 locations within five months (from award of the project) or the customer would be liable for significant fines.
Using a proven deployment methodology, technicians were routed across all 50 states during a four month installation period to complete surveys and install POS peripherals at over 20,000 locations. Additionally, some locations required multiple software downloads and configurations of existing POS base units. During the peak of the project over 400 locations were completed per day.
A project of this scale is not possible without a strong project management practice that TDX Tech takes pride in offering. Our project team worked round the clock, including weekends, for the duration of this project to ensure they were on top of every detail. By utilizing the full capabilities of our propriety web-based software solution, WebTrax, our customers had every detail at their fingertips as well. Pre-calls were completed to every customer location prior to the service visit to confirm the visit and ensure the site was prepared for our technician to perform the service work on the first visit. Additionally, our Help Desk team provided Level 1 support for our technicians, escalating only a minimal number of tickets to our customer’s Level 2 support team.
Our customer avoided all compliance fines associated with the new federal government regulation. Additionally, all of the compliance services were documented and available on-line via our secure customer portal, WebTrax. With a diligent effort and laser focus, both parties are proud to have built a very strong partnership within a compressed time-line that will be maintained for years.
