Retailers are continuing to adopt a variety of self-service technologies to support checkout and ordering experiences across their stores.

According to a recent Yahoo Finance article, "research showed that self-checkout terminals remain the most widely adopted at 89 percent, while scan-and-go via smartphone apps garnered 77 percent. Self-service ordering kiosks also came in at 77 percent, and scan-and-go via handheld scanners was 67 percent."
